Nature Positive Future is a podcast series from the Integrating Finance and Biodiversity Programme: a £7 million initiative co-led by the Natural Environment Research Council and Innovate UK to develop the solutions needed to embed the values of biodiversity in financial decision making. This investment will build a national multi-stakeholder community that can drive the development of knowledge, tools and skills to incorporate biodiversity-related risks and opportunities into planning, reporting and investment decisions for the finance and business sectors. This series talks to key stakeholders from across academia and the finance sector.

Greening Finance for Nature is a research flagship within the Integrating Finance and Biodiversity Programme. It takes aim at the decision-making processes of financial institutions such as banks and asset management companies. Their decisions can impact nature adversely, and this needs to change.
In this first episode, we talk to its lead, Dr Nicola Ranger, Director of the Global Finance and Economy Group at the Environmental Change Institute within the University of Oxford.
